Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hip-hop label 0108 SLATAN is stoked to announce the release of its latest studio album titled ‘Kalau Begitu, Baiklah…‘.
This project is the collective’s second initiative which seeks to bring their listeners on a thrilling roller-coaster ride through their experiences as artists and humans as well as take them through their sonic interpretation.

Released under the artist moniker of SLATAN on digital streaming platforms, this project sees participation from a total of 19 artists (12 singers/rappers and seven composers).
Amongst these stellar artists are names like Gard, Quai, Offgrid and Wuzgut who are no strangers to the label roster, along with up-and-coming composers like cyndaquil, Dafreakinaz, henrii, Khodi, LastKhalif, to name a few.

Their Most Wholesome Album Yet
The album’s main composer, Maatjet (above) shares, “This album sets to be a turning point in each of these artists involved in the project.
From someone as senior as Gard, Quai and Offgrid in [the] roster to the label’s latest signing Akkimwaru, everyone seems to understand the task very well and gave their best interpretation of the main album waypoints in their one creative language.
It’s just amazing to be in such a creative atmosphere. I initially thought that I would have hiccups in making sure that all these different styles and takes on music gel together in their respective songs, but it turns out to be a very seamless process”.

They Really Understood the Assignment
Executive producer Wuzgut (above) added, “It was a relatively short process yet it felt wholesome, well at least for me. I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I did while mastering this project”.

The album cover art is a visual representation of their idea of blossoming, growing, and contributing to a greater cause rather than just acting on self-interest.
The label has commissioned a painter based in Central Market, Kuala Lumpur to work on the visuals of the album in support of the oil-paint artists in this digital era.
In conjunction with this newly released album, the 0108 SLATAN will also be holding a show for their album launch on 12 January 2023 in Kuala Lumpur.
