Welcome to the first edition of our monthly updates on live music shows! We’re ready to party…are you? Have a look down this list to explore options for weekend plans this month.
Igniting Live Music
Organised by Tiger Crystal and Timbre Music, Igniting Live Music celebrates the return of music with 20 flaming performances. The event has been ongoing and will run till 26 June 2022.
At Timbre+ Eastside @ Expo, you can expect to see musicians like 53Alive!, AE$OP CA$H as well as Reverie & friends. Show up on 18 June at 7.15 pm to catch the young rapper AE$OP CA$H’s act.
And at Timbre+ One North, there have been performances by Benjamin Kheng, Hijack Hailey, Tell Lie Vision, Ultra Mega Cat Attack and more. The Day Trippers paid tribute to the legendary Beatles and performed on 21 May. Meanwhile, local band Welcome to the Machine will be honouring Pink Floyd on 12 June, 7.45 pm at Timbre+ One North. Also, if you’re into indie pop, do check out M1DL1FE who will be appearing on 26 June at 8 pm!

GastroBeats 2022
GastroBeats is back and better than ever! Spanning till 26 June, there will be food, music, activities, culinary collaborations, Instagrammable-spots and a huge bouncy castle. Clearly, there’s something for everyone whether you’re a foodie, music lover, influencer, parent or kid.
We had the pleasure of watching Marian Carmel and Subsonic Eye live on 5 June and it was simply heartwarming and sensational. There will be performances from artistes and DJs like Haneri, RRILEY, KiDG, Rangga Jones, Ffion, Daniel Sid, Lorong Boys and more.
More excitingly, Jonny’s Block Party will be happening on the very last weekend, as part of Diageo Night. Pull up alongside Dreamfellas to catch a glimpse of our dancers on stage, and of course for some sick beats and wavy vibes!

HEEL EP Launch
On 3 June, Third Eye’s HEEL ‘NO GOOD FOR YOU’ EP Launch will be happening at Room 0416 at 6.30pm. The show is supported by and features heavy-hitting bands, namely Error, Fuel, Remnants and Losing End.
Presale tickets and packages are all sold out, but door sales are open at SG$20.
Triple Threat
Zendyll Music, HVT Entertainment and The Kennel AB have banded together for a live showcase of emerging acts in Singapore. Happening on 4 June at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre, party-goers can enjoy the strong vocals of headlining act Matilde G as well as a Hip-Hop afterparty with rapper AE$OP CA$H and R&B singer-songwriter Feez. Dick Lee & Omnitones ft. Third Degree
In celebration of Esplanade’s 20th anniversary, Dick Lee, one of Singapore’s most celebrated singer-composers, will be presenting well-loved ballads with a refreshing twist. From collaborating with young talents and in marking a new era of music-making for himself, Dick Lee “hopes to inspire and guide these young musicians through a novel music adventure”.
Best known for writing musicals and National Day songs, Dick Lee is one of the most prolific composers of English love songs in Asia. And as a gift to his fans, this concert will have popular songs that have not appeared on live stages for over a decade — ‘Familiar Faces’ from Life In The Lion City, ‘I Need You Back’ by Sandy Lam and ‘Take The Love And Run’ from Jacintha Abisheganaden’s Silence album.

Hiss Listening Party
Wormrot, who has been putting Singapore grindcore on the map, presents a lively night of metal and punk. You’ll get to listen to the band’s new album three weeks in advance and it’s also the last time to see vocalist Arif with Wormrot!
Happening on 19 June at DIGHEAD, the gig is free without cover charge. There will also be a Q&A session and a DJ.
Encore — Lo Ta You In Concert 2022
This Father’s Day, Taiwanese singer-songwriter Lo Ta You will be gracing Sands Theatre at his one-night only concert. Known as the Godfather of Pop and Rock Music in Greater China, the iconic Mr Lo will be performing his biggest hits including ‘Childhood’, ‘Pearl of the Orient’, ‘Queen’s Road East’ and more.

Fruit Basket Vol. 2: Indie Pride
And back for its second volume is Fruit Basket! Proudly organised by Where Are The Fruits and sister label spikyfruits, the event will showcase a wave of the freshest up-and-coming artists from Singapore and the region.
This special double-edition show will be set at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre across 24 and 25 June. On the first day, Fruit Basket kicks off with some indie-rockers, math-rock counters and jazz-vocal chanteuses — cues, nkei, M1LDL1FE and The New Modern Lights. On 25th, some of Singapore’s best singer-songwriters take the stage with PRIDE! Expect to see the talented aeriqah, T-rex Marian Carmel from volume one and lewloh with his latest single ‘Let Me Let You Go’.
